It's B.C. Buy Local Week
Buy Local Week (Dec 2-8, 2019) celebrates the unique contributions that local businesses make to our communities and the B.C. economy. We work with business partners across the province to gain media and consumer attention to support local owned businesses, local grown and local made products.
Celebrate Local Businesses
This month we are hosted by Hastings North BIA (East Village) and Bosa Foods.
East Village is located within two historic neighbourhoods situated in the heart of East Vancouver: Hastings Sunrise and Grandview-Woodland. They are a community that has a long heritage of cultural diversity, as well as a dedication to fostering unique businesses that capture the real flavour of what it means to be from East Vancouver. The people who love the community, know local residents by name and couldn't imagine working, living, being anywhere else.
Bosa Foods was founded by Augusto Bosa, who began importing Italian specialty foods as early as the 1940s. Operating in Vancouver since 1957, Bosa provides traditional specialty food products to lovers of Italian and Mediterranean foods. Today Bosa Foods is operated by the third generation of the family, with a new distribution centre and retail stores, to serve retail customers, and also restaurants, retailers, manufacturers, and foodservice operations.
